Hello!

My name is Ghica Popa, I am an artist and creative director based in Bucharest, Romania. After having graduated the Primary School of Arts, the Arts High School and the University of Arts, I got a job in advertising. After 8 years of working as an art director for the multinational agencies McCann Erickson (Bucharest) and Leo Burnett (Bucharest), I am now the creative director of the local agency Punct Advertising. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and sketching in my home studio.

As an advertiser, I have worked for international brands such as Orange, Procter & Gamble, Western Union, GE Money, Fanta, Sprite and for local brands such as Prigat, Bergenbier, The Antipa Museum. Some of the work I did for them brought me awards at advertising festivals around the world: Cannes Lions, Epica, Eurobest, The One Show, Golden Drum, Ad’Or, Effie, Euro Effie.

My work as a graphic artist includes identity design, editorial design and product design. My style is influenced by science fiction, movies I watched as a kid, strange buildings, old futuristic cars, comic books and different art movements, form cubism to pop art. I like working with other artists and fancy companies, so don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re interested in a collaboration.
